Listening to Northernaires right now and decided to visit your site.
It is one of the best drum corps sites around.
I marched and played with the Kawartha Kavaliers out of Lindsay, ON when your corps was on top of its game. Never met you in competition, of course, but did meet some of your opposition, including Toronto Optimists.

I've enjoyed performing at the Waterfront festival and am confident that our Corp membership also has had memorable experiences.

Every year you guys put on a great show. It's weird to see my father (Tom Longlais) doing this kinda stuff. I know he looks forward to marching and getting together w/ the Group. I know one thing he will always cherish is the Old Marching Hat that Bill King wanted him to have.

Dean and the Northernaires,

A special thanks to Dean for all his hard work getting things ready for this past weekend and a big personal thanks to all the Northernaires that performed or had any part in this weekends festivities. I had more fun this weekend than I have in years. The cameraderie with the other corps and the layed back approach we had with the singing and the impromptu jazz session at the concert all added up to a very unique weekend. Not to mention members and friends that we haven't seen in a long time showing up at the last minute. It was great. I think the people felt we gave them a fresh look at the Northernaires with some new pieces and the truly have fun attitude. I especially liked the way we exited the concert area and then playing Walk Alone for ourselves as a show of drum corps brotherhood.

Thanks again to everyone

Your site is a breath of fresh air. On display at your site is the true spirit of drum and bugle corps.

Basic and complete...it has always been about the "everyday neighborhood kids", (not music majors from colleges or music majors from high schools bands) leadership, commitment, country and esprit de corps!

At the age of 12 1/2, I marched in the St. Joseph Patron Cadets and the St. Rita's Brassmen, both were (for the most part) local neighborhood corps with the greatest instructors in the world of drum corps, Carman Cluna, Hy Dreitzer, Eric Perriolloux
